Royal has successfully achieved certification to AS9100 Revision D on Tuesday, August 8^th.  Royal has been an AS9100 certified aerospace composite manufacturer since 2004 and this is the latest revision.  With Royal’s quality management system’s effectiveness, we validate and verify that the quality and safety standards of our customers and industry are being exceeded.

In this 3 day audit with 2 seasoned auditors, the auditors focused on multiple different departments throughout operations including quality, engineering, scheduling, purchasing and customer service. The auditors interviewed many operators and members of leadership team in their evaluation of the quality management system in place here at Royal.  These interviews spanned Royal’s 3 production shifts and at the end of the audit, the closing meeting revealed one minor finding.

Quality Manager, Amy Eberle and Quality Engineer, Marya Ternes, took charge of the preparation for the audit and accompanied the auditors throughout the week. Eberle commended everyone for their hard work and consistency in efforts to support the auditors in their efforts.

Dave Arnold, Royal’s President, made the following statement in an email to all employee owners, “The auditors asked us to thank everyone for their contribution to the audit. They were impressed with our quality management system and the culture of quality exhibited by our employees”.
