A-SCAN AND C-SCAN
Royal has full capability in ultra-sonic, nondestructive inspection of composite parts. We have 3 Level II inspectors and a Level III on retainer as a consultant.
The A-Scans are used on solid laminates. Scanning is done on GE Inspection Technologies USN 60 A-Scan flaw detectors.
The C-Scan is used on sandwich structures. Our Structural Diagnostics, Inc. SDI 5180 currently operates in a 42 x 96” immersion tank, fitted out with two squirter heads.
Having this capability on 3 shifts allows Royal to speed parts through NDI inspection and assist in our on-time performance.
